Kristen Stewart plays Snow White

MTVasia posted an article that Kristen Stewart landed the role as Snow White. I know this is kinda old news but it's still good news.

The 20-year-old "Twilight" actress has been officially named the fairest of them all in the revisionist fairy tale "Snow White and the Huntsman," according to producer Palak Patel's Twitter page. The confirmation ends weeks of speculation after news leaked in January that Stewart was being targeted for the role of Snow White.

In a recent interview with LA Times, Robert Pattinson and Bill Condon (the director of Breaking Dawn films) share itty-bitty info regarding Breaking Dawn.

Here is what Rob said:

"It's really been hard shooting both films at the same time," admitted the 24-year-old star, moments before he had run backstage to present his award with "Tron" star Olivia Wilde. "But it's the end of an era."

Here is from Bill Condon:

Speaking by phone this month, director Bill Condon, who's helming both installments of the finale, said he has been thrilled with what he's seen from his leads. "All characters are moving [in this chapter]," he said. "It's really about the passage from adolescence to adulthood and they all seem energized by that. It's the stuff they are all connecting to their lives."

The producer of Twilight Saga; Wyck Godfrey (just in case you're not familiar with him) was interviewed by USA Today and he spills some Breaking Dawn details for us to enjoy...for now...

Beware of possible spoilers

Q: Where does the story split in half?
A: We basically want to take the audience through the emotional part of Bella's journey as she becomes a vampire. The first part will cover the wedding, the honeymoon ad the birth. The film ends just before she embarks on her supernatural transformation.

Q: The book has three segments, two of which present's Bella's point of view and a middle that's devoted to the perspective of her rejected werewolf suitor Jacob (Taylor Lautner). How is that handled?
A: The story will break from her and follow Jacob throughout the course of the movie as he struggles with his oen dilemma. There is a sense that as Bella and the Cullens (Edward's makeshift vampire clan) deal with his pregnancy, the world is still turning outside with Jacob.

Like quite a few, young Ashley earned her stripes as part of the ensemble cast of the "Twilight" franchise. In 2011, she'll again play sparkly eyed Alice Cullen (in "Breaking Dawn") but she's also the female lead in two incongruent flicks, "Skateland" -a-coming-of-age dramedy swt in the 80s - and "The Apparition", a new horror flick from producer Joel Silver. Beauty and Genuine Talent seems to go a long way in this industry, so expect to hear more from Ashley Greene over the next few years

Some of the most popular werewolf names are of course, Jacob, Tyler, Alcide, Sam, Embry, and Quil. Other popular Twilight names most definitely the traditional names of the Cullen Clan: Edward, Bella, Carlisle, Alice, and Rosalie.

Question: What will fans get most excited about, in regard to the special features and extras that you've selected for this DVD?

DAVID SLADE: You know, I don't know. That's bad. I made the film and haven't even seen these things, except to approve them. What will I say is that I think it's a point worth making that, for a film like this, because of the fan base, I liken it to be a subculture. It's not quite punk rock, but it's a fan culture, like Star Wars fans. It's positive thing and I've always been very, very supportive of fan cultures. I'm a fan of all kinds of things. With a DVD, you want something you can own, you can watch, you can come to grips with and you can explore. It's something larger than the film, when it's going out to a fan base like this. So I guess that's my answer. I hope that they like all of it.

The Wonder from Down Under: Xavier Samuel's audition for the part "Riley Biers" came via mail-in, and it absolutely wow-ed one of the executives from Summit Entertainment. Per Stephenie Meyer, they were all really impressed with his work in the tape but Samuel - due to the enchancement of the character in the film - still had to submit to "about seven" further auditions before being officially cast for the role

The Giggles: There are a lot of giggles in this commentary. Whether it's Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart making each other laugh or tge movie itself (and their memories of filming it) drawing out a stream of chuckles, the two certainly seems to enjoy the discussion. And it's not just the laughing either. You, the viewer, will probably get a kick out of Pattinson trying his best "Jasper" impersonation, by saying "Afternoon ma'am," and Kristen Stewart answering with "You sound like Jodie Foster in like Nell." Another funny comes with discussion of the wigs. Throughout the talk, the theme continues to come up again and again - with Kristen Stewart mostly, poking fun at her fake treses. You'll get many, many little quips like this one from Pattinson: "Peter [Facinelli] also uses his wig as a cereal bowl. It's completely solid. He just plops it on in the morning."

Florence Welch (Florence and the Machine) revealed to PopDash about the meaning behind a song called "Heavy In Your Arms" which featured in Eclipse OST. I'm sure all of you have heard the song. Honestly it's been a while since I listen to the song.

'Heavy In Your Arms' I suppose is about the weight of love, and how sometimes it can be burden between two people.... I felt this was a strong theme in the Twilight series - is someone being rescued or are they being condemned, and is the love you carry bringing you down?.... I recorded it using a lot of strange reversed vocal samples and big hip hop piano. It's basically inspired by 90's hip hop and gospel choirs, like most of my songs.

Summit clears up a few rumors

Rumors are around but Summit to the rescue!

1) There is only one casting director working on THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN films right now - Deborah Zane. As of right now no local auditions are being held. If Deborah's name is not attached to it in some form or another, it is not legitimate. She is also not putting out nationwide casting notices. Once again - as was the case with NEW MOON and ECLIPSE - any ads you see are completely false. She has set up an e-mail address specifically for casting inquiries (BreakingDawnCast@gmail.com)

2) Lexicon touched base regarding a rumor about Renesmee's name changing in BREAKING DAWN. It is FALSE.

3) Twi Examiner asked about Riley's appearance in BREAKING DAWN films. It is a rumor.

4) Also not confirmed is anything you have heard about the US release date of the ECLIPSE DVD. We have not announce it yet, so unless it is international and confirmed by an international distributor, it is a rumor.

From Gossip Cop: A rep for Franco tells Gossip Cop the speculation about him joining Breaking Dawn is "not true".

It was confirmed on TwilightFB about an hour ago that The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn will be filmed in Louisiana and Vancouver.

Summit Entertainment's THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN will be filmed in both Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Vancouver over the next year starting this fall. The next chapter of THE TWILIGHT SAGA will be released as two separate films witg the first of the slated to be released in theatres on November 18, 2011.

MTV: Breaking Dawn Part 2 release date not set for summer 2012

In June, Summit Entertainment announced that "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn" will be released as two separate films, with the first part arriving on November 18, 2011. Though no release date for the second part has been announced, the conventional wisdom has been that the second part would follow in the summer of 2012.

Not so fast. Summit distribution chief Richie Fay told MTV News that no such decision has been made and that the studio is still exploring multiple release dates, not just ones in the summer.

"We've targeted a number of dates, and we have yet to determine when it will happen," Fay said. "We haven't even determined that it will be the summer. It's still the source of discussions."

At the end of the day, after all the hard work is done, all that's left,eand your overwhelmingly positive and supportive responses have made me feel like we must have done something right. We loved the Twilight Parody and New Moon Parody by the awesome The Hillywood Show team. We also loved their original The Hillywood Show (which we manage to watch about 3 episodes but we’ll get back to that once we have the time) and The Dark Knight Parody! We’re basically The Hillywood Show fans! xD

Yesterday, The Hillywood Show released Eclipse parody teaser poster with a tagline “It all begins… with a parody” (love the tagline by the way). The teaser poster features Hilly Hindi as Bella Swan, Jacob Jost as Edward Cullen and Kyle Dayton as Jacob Black.

MTVasia: Robert Pattinson says Life without music is ‘driving me crazy’

Back in July 2008, “Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke told MTV News that Robert Pattinson had plans to compose three songs for the vampire film’s soundtrack. As it turned out, only one Rpattz track popped up on the album, but Twilighters were on notice: The Brit actor harbored some serious musical ambitions.

“I was doing music before I started acting, so I still have bits and pieces, and I’ve been playing in Portland [during the shoot],” Pattinson told us on the “Twilight” set. “I’ve been trying to write an album for years and years.”

Two years later, with the third installment of the franchise about to hit theaters, Pattinson has found himself frustratingly disconnected from the passion and without the time to listen to much music or write his own material.

Yet Pattinson refuses to let his musical talents go to waste, as he’s trying to dive back into songwriting mode. Stymieing those efforts are his jam-packed schedule of shooting and publicity; he’s on the midst of shooting “Water for Elephants” with Reese Witherspoon at the same time he’s promoting “Eclipse.”

“I’ve just bought a couple new guitars, and I’ve started trying to write things again,” he said. “But I never have any time, ever.”

You can tell how perturbed Pattinson is by his inability to carve out time to play music. And you’ve got to hope he figures out a way to make music work within the confines of this hectic professional career, because right now, he’s bummed without music in his life.

“It’s kind of driving me crazy,” he said.

MTVasia: Kristen Stewart ‘not worried’ about her next career move

Kristen Stewart has it pretty good these days. She’s the female lead in one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. She’s managed to continue to do work in smaller firms. And she pretty much has her pick of any film she’d like to do next.

But the “Eclipse” star said all she’s focused on next in her career is not having to really focus on anything.

“I feel less [career pressure] because I’m in such a stellar position,” she told MTV News. “I feel relly indulgent, like I feel it’s really cool to be able to say, ‘I don’t know [what I’m doing] for the next couple of years.’ I’m gonna focus on being an actor. Like, I want to make movies and stuff.”

Stewart does have some projects line up, including “Breaking Dawn” flicks and “On the Road,” but she’s not worried about her otherwise-clear docket. “I want to do other stuff, but right now, it’s really cool just being like, I don’t know what I’m going to do next year, but this year I’m doing this.’ I’m doing ‘On the Road’ and ‘Breaking Dawn,’ and that’s all that I know that I’m doing.”

Stewart’s next big career choices will be made the way all her other decisions are: from her gut. “I’m not good at planning out my career,” she said. “But if I was, I’d probably feel pressure, but because I don’t and I really just choose thing instinctually, I’m not worried about it.”

MTVasia: ‘Breaking Dawn’ birthing scene may occur offscreen, Screenwriter says

Now that it’s been confirmed that “The Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn” is being split into two flicks, fans want even more details on screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg will adapt the Stephenie Meyer novel, which includes a lot of sex and an incredibly gory birthing scene, into two PG-13 films. Well, there’s a good chance the graphic images of Bella in labor won’t be shown at all, Rosenberg says.

“On the fansite, on Facebook, all the comments are, ‘It has to be R rated! You have to show the childbirth! Gore and guts and sex!’ For me it’s actually more interesting to not see it,” Rosenberg recently told the Los Angeles Times. “You know, you can do childbirth without seeing childbirth. … It doesn’t mean it’s any less evocative of an experience.”

When MTV News caught up with Rosenberg to talk about “Eclipse,” she said she was going to leave a lot of those hard decisions, like how to show Bella giving birth to vampire spawn Renesmee, to director Bill Condon, “From screenwriter standpoint that’s gonna land more squarely in the director’s hands,” she teased. “That’s one of thouse things [where] I kind of say [and] make a few sort of general suggestions on the page and say, ‘Go! Go, Bill! Do it!’ ”

Franchise star Robert Pattinson told MTV News that’s he’s gld he doesn’t have to be the guy who decides how to bring the birthing scene to life. “I think that’s going to be very funny,” he said. “The only thing I know about it is the famous scene: the kind of cesarean scene … I do not envy Bill Condon to have to think of some way to do that.”

Although her character, Bella Swan, is under siege by raging newborns in 'The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,' Kristen Stewart tells us her portrayal was a far less tortured one this time around. So much so tht she ditched her plan to make an 'Eclipse' playlist, a practice that helped her get into Bella's moody headscape on 'New Moon.' Instead, she went back to listening to regular old KStew tunes.

"I always listened to music, but I had particularly music that I listened to on 'New Moon,' but didn't really have it for 'Eclipse,' she told MTV News over the weekend, while promoting the June 30 flick in Los Angeles. "I just listened to my normal music. Bella's less tortured. She's less conflicted. I mean... it's the most she's conflicted about the love triangle [but] that happens sort of at the end."

Stewart said that for the most part she "cruises through" the drama in the third movie, adding that the real dilemma is Bella's struggle to adapt to her future as a vampire: "The main conflict is the danger and the fact that she's losing her human life. That her family's gonna soon go away maybe go away. When I was doing 'New Moon,' I needed the music and I needed my iPod all the time and I needed to be in my own little head, but in 'Eclipse' it was more about the story was just different."

So what's a "normal" soundtrack for Stewart? Well, it turns out to be Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga on repeat.

"[I've] probably [been listening to] a little of both," Stewart admitted. "But I don't know, 'The Climb' is my theme song - and I'm sticking to it."

Fans of 'Twilight' sensation Robert Pattinson are about to see a whole different side of the British actor in an upcoming drama - quitw literally a different side, in fact.

Pattinson stars in 'Bel Ami,' a period drama based on French author Guy de Maupassant's 1885 novel of the same name. The actor is playing Georges Duroy, a morally ambigious journalist who gradually rises from rags to riches among the Paris elite thanks to his various connections to powerful and wealthy mistresses - a lineup of women played by Uma Thurman, Kristin Scott and other notable actresses.

In the past, Pattinson described his characters as "totally amoral" and very different than the types of roles his fans are used to seeing him inhabit. But despite this, it's hard to imagine the legions of Team Edward loyalists frowning at the news that Pattinson is showing off his backside for the period film.

"I think there's a lot of my crack in it," he laughed to MTV News while promoting 'Eclipse,' the latest 'Twilight' installment. "I think there's quite a bit of nudity."

Pattinson said he still hasn't seen a final cut, so whether his "crack" makes it into the finished version of 'Bel Ami' remains to be seen. Regardless, the actor said working on the sex-filled period drama was quite a different experience, particularly someone very used to the typically teen-friendly subject matter of the 'Twilight' franschise.

"It's such a strange story," he said of 'Bel Ami.' "I think it will turn out to be very interesting, but I have no idea about any of it yet."

It's hard to fathom that it was just over one year ago that I started constructing this third and epic adventure which takes place in town of Forks.

I want to share a story about one of our days shooting with you.

It was Friday night and the rain was relentless. We were at La Push to shoot the tribe's histories, a great speech by Billy Black. We had Taylor and Kristen and the whole wolfpack around a campfire as the heavens let loose on us.
